Hans J. Wegner designed the iconic Wishbone chair in 1949 and it has since become an icon of modern Danish design.
The Wishbone’s backrest and armrests are made of a single curved piece, with the addition of a Y-shaped back that gives the chair its name. Most of the 100 steps required to make the chair in the workshop are done by hand. It takes a skilled worker about an hour to make the seat alone with 120 metres of impressively durable and stable paper cord. The Wishbone offers exceptional comfort and perfect finishing.
