Rare and large vase, V. Nason & C, Murano, ca. 1969.
The large vase produced by the glass manufacture V. Nason & C. could be attributed to Ermanno Nason. The Nason family was one of the oldest glass maker family of the island of Murano.
Very rare, this amazing vase shows a beautiful green and copper (aventurine) pattern on a white background. The edges are in clear glass. The early paper tag of this mouth blown vase can help to date the vase at the end of the 60’s – early 70’s.
Height 41 cm. In very good condition.
Ermanno was trained by the glass artist Vittorio Zecchin, he worked at A.ve.M before founding Arte Nason & C. in 1959, he then worked with Gino Cenedese.
Nason & C., was founded in 1967 by the glass master Vincenzo Nason, trained in the Venini’s glasswork. The company doesn’t exist anymore.
