Tulip table, marble top, by Eero Saarinen, for Knoll.
The Pedestal Collection is probably the most famous Saarinen and Knoll creation. With this design Saarinen wanted to resolve the “ugly, confusing, unrestful world” underneath chairs and tables. The tulip tables and chairs stand now as reference for modern design from the 50’s.
The small dining table available has a round marble 90cm top. This compact size is very hard to find on the vintage market.
