Set of 5 tulip chairs by Eero Saarinen, for Knoll.
The Pedestal Collection is probably the most famous Saarinen and Knoll creation. With this design Saarinen wanted to resolve the “ugly, confusing, unrestful world” underneath chairs and tables. The tulip tables and chairs stand now as reference for modern design from the 50’s.
Set of 6 tulip armchairs, white enameled fiberglas shell upholstered with brown leather. Base in moulded cast iron aluminum coated with «Rilsan». Very rare leather version, was only made to order, no longer in production.
