The famous Rimini Blu series by Aldo Londi was launched in 1959 by the Bitossi ceramics factory, which has never stopped production since.
The process has remained unchanged: the decorative texture is added with small tools on the raw form, creating a frieze composed of tiny and dense signs composing a marvellous carousel of abstract geometric shapes. The whole is enhanced by touches of colour applied under the blue glaze which, after firing, magically reproduce the play of light reflected by the sea. Rimini Blu takes its name from the famous seaside resort. Over the years, the series has been offered in many other variations: Rimini Sunset, Rimini Red Venetian, Rimini Via Veneto, Rimini Bright Green, etc.
