Son of the architect and De Stijl member, Gerrit Rietveld, Wim Rietveld (1924-1985) is a major figure of industrial dutch design.
The Oase chair is one of the most famous furniture by the dutch designer, together with the Pyramid chair, the Panama lamp (Gispen) or the Result chair designed with Friso Kramer.
Pair of Oase chairs newly upholstered with dark grey fabric on light grey enameled metal frame and black armrests.
Size: 60 x 70 cm, H 78 cm, seat height 40 cm.
In very good condition, patina and wear on the metal frame and on the armrests.
This Dutch design classic won the ‘Signe d’Or’ award in 1959.
