Rare floor lamp mod. 1031 by Gino Sarfatti for Arteluce, 1948
The 1031 floor lamp was designed in 1948 and is a very rare collector’s item. Almost impossible to find, very few examples are available on the market. The model is no longer in production.

Born in Venice, Gino Sarfatti (1912-1984) graduated from the University of Genoa in naval and air engineering.
From 1939, he focused on lighting design and founded his own company, Arteluce. He quickly became internationally recognized as a pioneer in modern lamp design. Gino Sarfatti has designed more than 400 lamps during his career, always exploring innovative solutions in terms of form and technology. Gino Sarfatti and Arteluce have won numerous awards such as the Compasso d’Oro in 1954 and 1955, and the Diploma Emeritus at the Milan Triennial.
Gino Sarfatti is one of the major lamp designers of the 20th century.
