Charles & Ray Eames had a major influence on the design history of the 20th century, they opened the path to mass production.
The fiberglass shell is one of the most popular model designed by Eames and a true vintage icon. Available as armchair or side chair, the Eames chairs were available in different colours and on different type of bases (H-base, Stacking, Dowel, Eiffel, Cat cradle, etc.). The fiberglass shel was designed in 1948 for the MOMA’s “International Competition for Low-Cost Furniture Design”.
