Isabelle Schiper (*1976) is part of the artist pool of the gallery since 2010. For this third solo show, she presents her new drawings, among them a small selection newly published in The Drawer vol. 6 (Les presses du réel, Paris, 2014).
Drawings inhabited by hypnotic pattern as sweet as threatening.
BIOGRAPHY
Isabelle Schiper (*1976, Biel). She lives and works in Lausanne. Graduated in visual arts in ECAL in 2001.
Since 2008, she teaches visual arts at the école supérieure des arts appliqués in Vevey.
Her work has been regularily exhibited in Switzerland and France, a.o. at Kissthedesign gallery in 2010 and 2012, at Accrochage Vaud, musée cantonal des Beaux-arts, Lausanne, Kunsthaus Langenthal, Lokal-int, Biel, Kunstmuseum Thun, De l’inachevé, Halle CFF Lausanne (catalogue), The Drawer, Vol. 6 launch at Galerie Agnes b., Paris, etc.
Many of her drawings has been published, during her membership to the Joli Collectif and from 2012 in many publications like Lausanne Contemporain, FLAC, Le Dévaloir, Kissmynewspaper, a limited edition newspaper by galerie Kissthedesign and in 2014 in The Drawer, Vol. 6, Les presses du réel, Paris.
