Franziska DEGENDORFER, CROSS PAPER PUZZLE
Exhibition from september 9 to october 29 2011*

*in collaboration with the gallery Ferenbalm-Gurbrü Station, Karlsruhe

For the start of the artistic season, the gallery Kissthedesign goes on with its project of discovering young international artists, still little known in Switzerland.

Franziska Degendorfer (*1980) is a young german artist, graduated from the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste, Karlsruhe and Stuttgart, whose work has been awarded many times in Germany and quickly became part of numerous german public collections.

The artist develops an original and unusual work. She manipulates pieces of fabric that she recycles, paints, cuts, folds, sometimes even pads and then sews to create a sensual geometric abstraction. Franziska Degendorfer’s work penetrates the gallery space to convert it to a sensorial and fabulous environment.
